You are duly summoned to attend the Parish Council Meeting of Churchill and Blakedown Parish Council to be held at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 17th August 2016 at Blakedown Sports Pavilion.

AGENDA

1. Chairman’s Opening Remarks.

2. Apologies for absence: To receive apologies and to approve reasons for absence.

3. Declarations of Interest: To receive any declarations of interest.

4. Community Policing: To receive the report from the Beat Officer/CSO.

The meeting will be adjourned for Public Question Time.

Residents are invited to give their views and question the Parish Council on issues on this agenda, or raise issues for future consideration at the discretion of the Chairman; brief notes will be appended on the minutes as an aide memoire.

 

5. Dispensations: To consider any requests to grant a dispensation for Agenda items.

6. District and County Council Matters: To receive any report from County or District Council representatives.

7. Lengthsman & Environmental Maintenance Reports:

a) Lengthsman

c) Grass cutting

8. Highways, Traffic, Street Lighting, Car Park and Parking Matters:

a) Traffic/speed enforcement and parking issues: Any updates

b) The Avenue car park: Any updates.

c) Street lighting: Update from Cllr Benney regarding additional light in Belbroughton Road

9. Revision of Worcestershire Transport Plan: To formulate any response or comments the Parish Council may wish to make on the consultation. Background information enclosed.

10. Safer West Mercia Plan: Members are invited to comment on the plan by Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion. Draft Plan enclosed.

13. Minutes: To consider the approval of the minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 20th July 2016 (enclosed).

14. The Churchill and Blakedown Villages Trust: Any updates.

15. Signal Box: To receive any updates and discuss/make a decision on arrangements to ‘open’ the signal box on completion of works.

16. Parish Website: Members are asked to receive a specification and quote information from Cllr Rowlinson and make a decision if they wish to proceed to procure the option previously agreed.

18. Defibrillator: To discuss the purchase and possible location of a defibrillator for the Parish. Quotation from Heartstart enclosed.

19. Schedule of Parish Council Meetings: To discuss the possibility of reducing the number of Parish Council meeting to 11 per year, no meeting to take place in the month of August.

20. Clerk’s Report: Clerks report on ongoing items (circulated with agenda).

21. Correspondence for Information: To note correspondence listed on the Correspondence

Report (circulated with agenda). Correspondence will be available for inspection at the meeting.

22. Councillor’s Reports and items for future agendas: Councillors may use this opportunity to

report matters of information not included elsewhere on the agenda and to raise items for future agendas.
