Jim Fletcher from Churchill and Blakedown Golf Club has let me know that the Club is in the process of installing a defibrillator, which will be stored outside the Clubhouse, and will be available for emergency use in the local area.  The system for accessing the equipment will be through a keycode which will be provided by the Emergency Service in appropriate cases. Jim contacted me as a representative of the Parish Council to invite volunteers to attend for free training to use the equipment, and I am sending this information to you as someone who may be interested – either as an active member of the Churchill and Blakedown community, or as a representative of one of the village organisations, who would think it sensible to know about the facility.

The training will be on the 21st October, at 7:15 pm, at the Golf Club – please let Jim know if you are able to (and would like to) attend, either by email to admin@churchillblakedowngolfclub.co.uk, or by calling 01562 700018.   I only have a limited number of email addresses, so if you know of anyone else who would be interested, please pass the details on. (Unfortunately, the Parish Council meeting is that evening, so I won’t be there myself – but would be reassured to  know that there are lots of trained people nearby!)
